73 MILLER STREET

At 73 Miller Street, a previously underutilised public walkway was transformed into an urban landscape where architecture, planting and public life intersect. The project reimagined the pedestrian thoroughfare as a green laneway connecting North Sydney’s commercial precinct with the heritage-listed Greenwood Hotel. Rather than serving simply as a passage, the space now encourages people to pause, meet and experience nature within the city.
Junglefy Wall systems were incorporated across both a continuous living wall and a series of planted structural columns, creating a layered landscape that frames the laneway. Together, these systems introduce greenery into the streetscape and the surrounding architecture, increasing biodiversity and enriching the everyday experience of the public realm.
More than a thoroughfare, the space has become an inviting green meeting place where informal conversations, corridor meetings and client catch-ups unfold amongst nature.
